BRIDGES
The project partnership brings together public and private organisations that contribute their professional expertise and practical experience. gsub coordinates the overall project.
BRIDGES is designed for systematic, transnational exchange and peer learning. By fostering continuous mutual learning between organisations and staff, and through communities of practice, innovative employment measures are adapted to local conditions. In each of the four cities, the employment of at least 16 people is funded and supported over 18 months. Involving civil society actors and building new relationships between public, private and non-profit institutions will lead to improved services and strategies. The pilot projects build on previous experience while incorporating the most suitable elements to address specific local needs, such as the integration of people with disabilities and health problems, younger long-term unemployed people, and women. The results feed into a comprehensive programme of capitalisation, capacity building and policy dialogue, thereby supporting the further integration, transfer and scalability of the tested social innovations.
